To become a recognised non-profit driving social impact and helping communities thrive.
Empowering communities. Inspiring change.
AKZAM Community is our non-profit arm and our main focus. We use education, culture and outreach to open doors for young people and families across Zambia.
Vision & mission
Why we do this work
To uplift communities by promoting education and empowerment and addressing pressing social issues through collaborative, sustainable work.
Charity
Guided by compassion, we put giving back to those in need first.
Collaboration
We build partnerships with people, organisations and communities to reach shared goals.
Empowerment
We help people gain the skills, resources and opportunities they need to grow.
Programmes
Four areas of work

Youth Empowerment
Mentorship, skill-building and leadership development through Youth Talk sessions, inspiring young people to become changemakers.

Education & Literacy: the AKZAM Education Initiative
Book giveaways, scholarships, reading campaigns and literacy advocacy. This is our flagship programme.

Community Outreach
Donation drives, food distribution, football tournaments and support for vulnerable groups.

Cultural & Artistic Promotion
Showcasing Zambian culture and talent through events, exhibitions and partnerships, including the AKZAM Awards.

Why community comes first
Our businesses exist to give back
AKZAM runs music, events, talent management and consulting as businesses. Part of what they earn funds our community programmes, so every booking and every project helps a young Zambian somewhere.

AKZAM Education Fund
A named fund with its own donors and simple public reporting, planned within the next two years.

The people behind AKZAM Community

In their words
This is for the people.
AKZAM exists for the young people, families and creatives we work with. Here is what it has meant to people who are, or have been, part of it.
AKZAM has felt like home. It is a chance to let the world see just how great Zambia can be, to share our stories and identity, and to be a voice for many.
AKZAM touches a lot of lives out there, and that makes me keep doing my best in working with communities.

AKZAM is an organisation that promotes and celebrates all Zambian talents and creatives.
